ATLAS LIFTING CYLINDER & SWING JIBS

The #1 concern about Lifting Cylinders is that they be used with a work port safety relief valve. This prevents damage to the lifting cylinder and the top head. The relief valve opens when the top head comes down on the hammer and allows the hammer to be pushed down. When the top head stops the hammer will stop. It has been proven over and over when a driller hits the top of the hammer with the top head it is the work port relief valve that, if adjusted properly, will relief preventing damage to the top head, the hammer, the lifting cylinder and to the driller as well.

We encourage anyone who has a lifting cylinder on a rig to check and be certain that you have a work port relief valve on your rig. If you are not certain call us and we will help you check.

Swing Jibs work with a lifting cylinder to swing the hammer to center or to the side. This equipment should be dedicated only to the hammer and lifting cylinder.
